LA County DEO Opens Request for Proposals for Community Forestry Management Plan: Tree Watering Services

Proposals Due July 6, 2026, by 12:00 PM PT 

Los Angeles, CA – The Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) announced the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for tree watering services as part of the County’s Early Action Implementation of the Community Forest Management Plan (CFMP).

The solicitation seeks qualified organizations to provide critical tree watering services that will support the successful establishment and long-term health of 1,100 newly planted trees across unincorporated Los Angeles County. The CFMP initiative includes trees along residential streets and corridors, helping advance the County’s goals for climate resilience, environmental sustainability, public health, and equitable investment in historically underserved communities. 

Key Details: 

  • Proposals Due: July 6, 2026, by 12:00 PM PT 
  • Written Questions Due: June 12, 2026, by 12:00 PM PT 
  • Anticipated Subaward Term: October 1, 2026–June 30, 2028 
  • Eligibility: Proposers must meet the minimum mandatory requirements outlined in Section 4.0 of the RFP, including at least three years of experience within the last five years providing comparable tree watering services and possession of a valid C-27 Landscape Contractor’s License. 

This project will be implemented in partnership with the Department of Public Works (DPW), Chief Sustainability Office (CSO), Department of Public Health (DPH), and Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR).
