LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles County Probation Department joined local law enforcement partners this week in a coordinated compliance operation across southeast Los Angeles County as part of the LA IMPACT Memorandum of Agreement, a regional collaboration designed to strengthen public safety and support effective community supervision.

The operation involved officers from the police departments of Vernon, Huntington Park, Bell, Bell Gardens, South Gate, Downey, and Montebello. Teams conducted probation compliance checks and field contacts at more than 20 locations throughout the region, focusing on individuals identified as high-risk offenders under Probation supervision. At the conclusion, three individuals were arrested for felony and misdemeanor offenses.

“Public safety and rehabilitation go hand in hand, and operations like this demonstrate what can be accomplished when local law enforcement agencies work together to support accountability,” said Chief Probation Officer Guillermo Viera Rosa. “We are grateful to our law enforcement partners for their continued collaboration and commitment to keeping our communities safe.”

The operation reflects the ongoing partnership between the Los Angeles County Probation Department and more than 16 local law enforcement agencies participating in the LA IMPACT collaboration. These coordinated efforts help ensure individuals under probation supervision remain accountable to court-ordered conditions while connecting them with resources that support long-term success and reduce recidivism.

The Southeast Cities Task Force regularly collaborates with the Probation Department and other law enforcement agencies on regional public safety initiatives. This week’s operation highlights the value of coordinated supervision efforts and information sharing in addressing community concerns while promoting opportunities for rehabilitation and successful reentry.
