Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Announces Strategic Partnership with U.S. Marine Corps and Navy to Enhance Military Clinicians’ Emergency Medicine and Trauma Skill
Harbor-UCLA Medical Center commemorated the signing of an agreement with the U.S. Marine Corps and Navy aimed at establishing a comprehensive training rotation program for military clinicians. This initiative seeks to elevate emergency medicine and trauma skills and experience among the participating teams.
Under the terms of the agreement, two distinct clinical teams, comprising Navy physicians, nurses, and medical corps personnel, will embark on a six-month rotation at Harbor. The teams will consist of one emergency medicine unit and one surgical team, fostering an exchange of knowledge and expertise between the Navy personnel and Harbor’s esteemed clinical team.
This collaboration represents a significant step forward in supporting the training and preparedness of military clinicians to deliver critical medical care in a combat zone. The sharing of best practices, experiences, and specialized skills will contribute to a more robust and well-prepared medical force.
