Los Angeles County to Host 2026 Veterans Treatment Court Symposium at Bob Hope Patriotic Hall
LOS ANGELES — The California Association of Collaborative Courts (CACC), in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (MVA), will host the 2026 Veterans Treatment Court (VTC) Symposium from May 6–8, 2026, at Bob Hope Patriotic Hall in downtown Los Angeles.
The three-day symposium will convene judges, prosecutors, public defenders, probation professionals, treatment providers, veteran service officers, mentors, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs representatives, and community-based organizations working to improve outcomes for veterans involved in the criminal justice system.
Veterans Treatment Courts are specialized court programs designed to address the underlying factors that may contribute to justice involvement, including trauma exposure, substance use disorders, and mental health challenges. These collaborative models combine judicial supervision with coordinated treatment services and peer mentorship, creating structured pathways toward accountability, stability, and long-term success.
Through keynote presentations, expert panels, and interactive workshops, the symposium will focus on strengthening cross-system collaboration, expanding trauma-informed practices, and identifying innovative approaches to serving justice-involved veterans across Southern California.

“We have a responsibility to continue prioritizing the development of a seamless system for veterans entering our justice system,” said Jim Zenner, Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. “Veterans Treatment Courts create a pathway forward by addressing the underlying challenges behind justice involvement. This symposium strengthens that pathway so fewer veterans fall through the cracks. We also thank CACC for their work and for choosing Bob Hope Patriotic Hall as the venue to move the conversation forward in Southern California.”
The symposium will be hosted at Bob Hope Patriotic Hall, a historic Los Angeles County landmark that serves as a central hub for veteran services and partnerships. Hosting this convening at Bob Hope Patriotic Hall reflects the County’s continued investment in building integrated systems of care for veterans and their families.
