Seventh Post-Election Night Ballot Count Update for the 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election
LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean C. Logan announced the seventh post-Election Night ballot count update for the June 2, 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election.
The update includes 121,639 ballots processed since the sixth post-Election Night update. The total election results count is now 2,212,124, which is 37.55% of registered voters. Election results can be viewed on LAVOTE.GOV.
The next ballot count update will be on Wednesday, June 10. The full schedule of updates can be viewed on the Canvass Update Schedule.
The estimate of outstanding ballots to be processed is 23,000. See estimates below:
- Vote by Mail ballots (VBM): 18,000
- Conditional Voter Registration (CVR) ballots: 4,500
- Provisional ballots: 500
The remaining Vote by Mail estimate primarily consists of ballots requiring signature curing. Voters whose ballots require signature curing have been notified and have until June 24, 2026, to return the notice to have their ballot counted.
With the vast majority of Vote by Mail ballots now processed, ballot processing activities are expected to gradually decrease in the coming days. Accordingly, the RR/CC will adjust its operations to reflect the reduced volume of outstanding ballots. Hours of operation are available on our Public Observation page.
The RR/CC’s canvass efforts will increasingly focus on reviewing and processing CVR and Provisional ballots, and completing the 1% manual tally audit.
Outstanding estimates are Countywide and are not currently available by jurisdiction as ballots are received and processed in batches throughout the county. The RR/CC prioritizes the timely processing, verifying, and counting of outstanding ballots in the Official Election Canvass.
The Official Election Canvass is a 30-day period in which the RR/CC processes and verifies all outstanding ballots to ensure that every eligible ballot cast by Election Day is counted.
