First Post-Election Night Ballot Count Update for the State Senate District 36 Special Primary Election

LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean C. Logan announced the first post-Election Night ballot count update for the February 25, 2025 State Senate District 36 Special Primary Election.

The update includes 1,244 ballots processed since Election Night. The total election results count is now 6,851, which is 13.28% of registered voters.

Election results for Los Angeles County can be found at LAVOTE.GOV. State Senate District 36 spans both Los Angeles County and Orange County; results for Orange County are available at OCVOTE.GOV.

All outstanding ballots are pending signature cures from Vote by Mail voters whose signatures were missing or did not match their registration records. These voters have been notified with instructions on how to cure their ballot to be counted.

The RR/CC will continue to accept Vote by Mail ballots postmarked by Election Day and received through Tuesday, March 4 (E+7).

The RR/CC prioritizes the timely processing, verifying, and counting of outstanding ballots in the Official Election Canvass. The next ballot count update will be on Friday, February 28. The full schedule of updates can be viewed on the Canvass Update Schedule.
