Dog Attack in Unincorporated Covina

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control is deeply saddened by the tragic incident involving a dog attack that resulted in the loss of a child’s life. Our hearts go out to the family and community affected by this heartbreaking event. The four dogs involved have been impounded by the Department; we are working closely with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to gather all the facts that led to this tragedy. We understand the immense grief and concern this has caused, and we are committed to ensuring that a thorough investigation is conducted.

The Department of Animal Care and Control is committed to conducting a thorough investigation in partnership with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and to prioritizing public safety while ensuring the humane treatment of the animals involved.”
