First Post-Election Ballot Count Update for the Claremont Unified School District Trustee Area 4 Special Election

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean C. Logan announced the first post-election ballot count update for the Claremont Unified School District Trustee Area 4 Special Election.

The update includes 282 ballots processed since Election Night. The total election results count is now 1,999 which is 30.51% of registered voters in Trustee Area 4. Election results can be viewed on LAVOTE.GOV.

There are 29 outstanding Vote by Mail ballots left to be processed. These ballots are pending signature cures from voters whose signature was missing or did not match their registration record. These voters have been notified with instructions on how to cure their ballot to be counted.

The RR/CC will continue to accept Vote by Mail ballots that are postmarked by Election Day and received through Tuesday, August 1 (E+7). These ballots are not included in the estimate.

The RR/CC prioritizes the timely processing, verifying, and counting of outstanding ballots in the Official Election Canvass. The next post-election ballot count will be on Friday, August 4 when the RR/CC is scheduled to certify the election results.
