First Post-Election Ballot Count Update for the City of Downey Special Municipal Election
LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean C. Logan announced the first post-election ballot count update for the City of Downey Special Municipal Election.
The update includes 522 ballots processed since Election Night. The total election results count is now 3,747 which is 21.73% of registered voters. Election results can be viewed on LAVOTE.GOV.
The next post-election ballot count will be on Tuesday, February 7.
The estimated number of outstanding ballots to be processed is 30 Vote by Mail ballots.
The RR/CC will continue to accept Vote by Mail ballots that are postmarked by Election Day and received through Tuesday, February 7 (E+7). These ballots are not included in the estimate.
The RR/CC prioritizes the timely processing, verifying, and counting of outstanding ballots in the Official Election Canvass.
