Twelfth Post-Election Ballot Count Update for the 2022 General Election
LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean C. Logan announced the twelfth post-Election Night ballot count update for the 2022 General Election.
The update includes 1,179 ballots processed since the last update (November 29). The total election results count is now 2,456,203 which is 43.64% of registered voters. Election results can be viewed on LAVOTE.GOV.
All outstanding Vote by Mail ballots left to be processed are pending signature cures from voters whose signature on the Return Envelope was missing or did not match their registration record. These voters have been notified with instructions on how to cure their ballot to be counted. The RR/CC will accept cure notices through December 3, 2022.
The RR/CC is scheduled to certify the election results on Monday, December 5.
Outstanding estimates are Countywide and are not currently available by jurisdiction as ballots are received and processed in batches from throughout the County. The RR/CC prioritizes the timely processing, verifying, and counting of outstanding ballots in the Official Election Canvass.
The Official Election Canvass is a 30-day period in which the RR/CC processes and verifies all outstanding ballots to ensure that every eligible ballot cast by Election Day is counted.
