Animal Licensing Amnesty Period
In an effort to help LA County pet owners during these difficult economic times, the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control is initiating an animal licensing amnesty period. Many pet owners may have put off paying for their required annual pet licenses and incurred late fees. Beginning August 1, 2022, the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) and 18 partner cities, are waiving late fees for residents renewing or buying a new license for their dog or cat through October 31, 2022.
If you are not certain if your pet’s license is current or not, you may access your pet’s record on the DACC website at https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/ or call the departments licensing division at (562) 345-0400 to inquire. You may also email DACC at: licensing@animalcare.lacounty.gov.
DACC cares about you and your pet’s wellbeing and thanks you for keeping your pet’s license and rabies vaccination current.
