Candidate Nomination Filing Period Opens for the November 8 General Election

LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean C. Logan announced the nomination filing period is now open for candidates in elections consolidated with the November 8 General Election.

Candidates are required to file and return completed paperwork to the RR/CC Norwalk Headquarters on or before 5 PM on Friday, August 12.

Candidates wanting to file paperwork in person must make an appointment prior to visiting the RR/CC Norwalk HQ. Appointments can be made online, or by calling 1-800-815-2666, option 4.

Alternatively, candidates may request their paperwork be issued to them by email or U.S. mail if requested in advance of the deadline.

All candidates interested in running for office are encouraged to review the November 8, 2022 Candidate Handbook and Resource Guide. The handbook and resource guide includes a variety of details and critical deadlines to be eligible for this election.
