Castaic Area Gas Pipeline Rupture
On the evening of Saturday, December 27, 2025 there was a natural gas line break at N Ridge Rte and Pine Crest Pl in the Castaic area. A Wireless Emergency Alert was issued at 5:40 PM advising residents in the area to “shelter-in-place.” That shelter-in-place instruction has been lifted.

Antelope Valley Foothills Safety Advisory

Flooding was observed in the Antelope Valley foothills area near Valyermo, Juniper Hills, Pearblossom, and Llano. Flooded roadways, road crossings, and other low-lying areas may be very dangerous. Water may be fast moving and deeper than it appears. Use caution on roads and do not enter flooded areas – Turn Around, Don’t Drown!

A Wireless Emergency Alert was sent to the impacted areas on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.

Wrightwood Area Evacuation Warning Lifted

At 6:00 PM on Friday, December 26, 2025, the Evacuation Warning was lifted for Wrightwood area residents in zones LAC-E127-A and LAC-E127B.

Widespread Warnings and Specified Orders

Evacuation Warnings and Orders were put in place on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM due to weather forecasts and the possibility of mud and debris flows in recent burn areas. These have since been lifted.

Details of the Warnings and Orders are below:

• Evacuations Warnings were issued in areas near recent burn scars due to the risk of mud and debris flows. When areas are under an Evacuation Warning, that is depicted on the map below or can be seen at protect.genasys.com
• Evacuation Orders were issued for specific properties at higher risk for mud and debris flow impacts due to the safety risk to people and animals as well as a higher risk for property damage. Law enforcement personnel made door to door contact to notify those specific properties.

Always follow directions from emergency personnel. If an official evacuation order is designated for your location, it is a lawful order to leave immediately. An evacuation warning means you should prepare to evacuate in case there is later an order to evacuate; consider voluntarily evacuating if you need more time to do so.
