Your Voice Matters: Share your feedback regarding the potential renaming of County assets bearing the name of César Chávez

The County is reaching out for the community’s help as we consider renaming LA County parks, streets, facilities, real property, monuments, civic artwork, and other County programs that bear the name of Cesar Chavez in light of recent revelations alleging a history of sexual abuse.  We want to ensure our process continues to reflect our community’s vibrant history, diverse cultures, and shared values.  Equally important, we want to ensure that the process is one of inclusion and engagement. We value community voice and insight, your participation will help in shaping our decision.

El Condado solicita la ayuda de la comunidad mientras evaluamos la posibilidad de cambiar el nombre de parques, calles, instalaciones, propiedades, monumentos, obras de arte civico, y otros programas del Condado de Los Ángeles que llevan el nombre de César Chávez, a raíz de las recientes revelaciones que alegan un historial de abuso sexual. Queremos asegurar que nuestro proceso siga reflejando la historia vibrante, las diversas culturas y los valores compartidos de nuestra comunidad. Igualmente importante es garantizar que el proceso sea inclusivo y participativo. Valoramos la voz y las perspectivas de la comunidad; su participación ayudará a definir nuestra decisión.
