The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors proclaimed April 2025 as “Second Chance Month” in Los Angeles County. This year, to commemorate Second Chance Month, the Los Angeles County Justice, Care and Opportunities Department (JCOD), in collaboration with contracted community-based service providers and other partners, are hosting a series of community resource events in each Supervisorial district.

The Second Chance Month events recognize and celebrate the efforts of JCOD, the county, and community-based organizations that provide robust services, support, and resources for our reentry population. The Second Chance Month community events feature services and resources that link the community to care management, workforce opportunities, education, legal resources, housing, and other supportive services.
