LA County Commemorates ``Second Chance Month``
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors proclaimed April 2026 as “Second Chance Month” in Los Angeles County.
To commemorate Second Chance Month, the Los Angeles County Justice, Care and Opportunities Department (JCOD), in collaboration with our contracted community based service providers and other partners, is hosting a series of community resource events in each Supervisorial district.
The Second Chance Month events will recognize and celebrate the efforts of JCOD, the County, and community-based organizations that provide robust services, support, and resources for our reentry population. The Second Chance Month community events will feature services and resources that connect the community to care management, workforce opportunities, education, legal resources, housing, and other supportive services.
