Voters Have Options to Avoid Election Day Lines as Statewide Special Election Draws to a Close

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean C. Logan reminds voters that as Vote Centers near closing, some locations may experience longer wait times. Voters can check LOCATOR.LAVOTE.GOV for real-time updates on Vote Center wait times to help avoid lines and find the most convenient site.

“Today is the final day to vote, and we often see a rush as closing time approaches,” said Dean Logan, Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk. “We want to remind voters that they have online resources to see estimated wait times at Vote Centers to find the most convenient locations with shorter lines. Whether voting in person, dropping off a ballot, or returning it by mail, the key is to act now – and remember anyone in line by 8:00 PM will be able to vote.”

Voters can cast a ballot or return their Vote by Mail ballot at any of 251 Vote Centers open across Los Angeles County. Those voting in person must be in line by 8:00 PM to cast their ballot. Voters can drop off a completed ballot quickly – no waiting is required.

In addition to Vote Centers, there are 418 Official Ballot Drop Boxes Countywide that will remain open until 8:00 PM for ballot return. For those who want to return by mail, we encourage walking into the post office and requesting a postmark. All ballots must be postmarked by Election Day.
