The Department of Animal Care and Control is celebrating Adopt a Shelter Dog Month to raise awareness of the many loving dogs in need of homes. To mark the occasion, they will waive adoption fees for all dogs from October 15-31, 2024. This includes adoption, spay/neuter, and microchip services (excluding license and trust fees). If you are a resident of Los Angeles County or a County employee looking for a fury companion, this is the time to adopt a shelter dog.
