County of Los Angeles Strategic Plan
The Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the County’s first Strategic Plan on November 16, 1999. The Plan included four organizational goals, Service Excellence, Workforce Excellence, Organizational Effectiveness and Fiscal Responsibility, and one programmatic goal, Children and Families’ Well-Being.
On December 17, 2002, the Board approved the first revision to the County Strategic Plan, including a County Mission Statement; new strategies for existing Strategic Plan Goals and three new programmatic goals (Community Services, Health and Mental Health, and Public Safety), including supporting strategies. On March 15, 2005, the Board approved the second update to the County’s Strategic Plan, including updates to existing Strategies and several new Strategies.
